Don’t forget about Kraken taking so long to kill that the timer actually matters here, so you have 1 more way of dying even if you are doing well. The fight would be more fun and bearable if there was a Slug before heading in. It’s a tough fight but we like the challenge. Thank goodness it wasn’t in arcades.

My favourite waifu in KOF is SHERMIE. I started using her in 98, and that's when i really fell in love with her fighting style, her design and her warm and friendly personality. She's a main in my waifu team alongside Vanessa and Kula in 2002 and 2002 UM. In 98, it's her, Mature and Blue Mary My other waifus - Vanessa, Kula, Chizuru, Blue Mary, Leona, Mai, Athena, Mature and Vice

Iori and Kula have always been my mains in my teams in old KOF games. For the 3rd character, it varies, from Kim, Ryo, Chris, Terry, Shermie, Clark, Athena and Mai Special mention goes to Vanessa, as she's one of my other mains in the games she's present in. She's a hard character to use, sure, but i have fun with her as I'm close to mastering her, alongside Kim

Shen has strong normals in '03. His standing light kick does good damage. It is fast, low commitment, fast recovery, and has good range. It is awkward to crouch block against it when you are poking with it standing up. It is also deceptive. People think it is a light kick and can afford to eat a few of them. But look at the health bar.... 🤕

K' is my favorite KOF character. I feel like a Dark Hero more than a normal hero.

These were very helpful for understanding the lore, thank you. KOF is actually my favorite fighting game series closely followed by Mortal Kombat and Smash Bros. So many characters however it's kinda hard to keep track of who is good and who is evil. A lot of the characters seem to be more like anti-heros not straight up evil, but also not really goody two shoes

I don't think 2002's graphics are dated. To my eyes, good pixel art is as timeless as anything.

From the start of KOF that wasn't mentioned here. Mine were Benimaru and Clark. Later moved on to Orochi Yashiro, Orochi Chris and Vice. The most hated will be Choi of cos haha. Gong Xi Fuck Choi! me and my friends used to say this at CNY.

Peacock is the sans of the skullgirls, a very funny nice and whacky character who has really OP abilities and avenges his loved ones.
